Tired of mediocre cocktails? So were we.
I am Paula Busser and in 2016 I began crafting vermouth and bitters. My husband, Jonathan, and I couldn’t find a vermouth we liked for a great martini. As things progressed, I moved beyond dry vermouth and bitters to sweet vermouth, amaro, and other aperitifs and digestifs all while making literally hundreds of different cocktail bitters. In 2023 we began to build 2 Black Dogs Distillery to hand make gins and infused vodkas as well as craft my vermouths and bitters at a larger scale. Today Jonathan and I handcraft these in Philadelphia while also ageing Bourbon. Our goal is to craft spirits and cocktail ingredients that offer a luxurious mouthfeel, taste delicious, and don’t include loads of sugar to hide imperfections. We are a luxury cocktail company.
In 2026, we began bottling our specialty cocktails for the freezer. These are pre-made classic cocktails stored in your freezer.
